Okinawa Fuji Hotel re-branded as Okinawa Port Hotel
Tokyo, Japan - June 15, 2005 -- Ishin Hotels Group's President, Mr. Michael Nigitsch, announces the re-branding of the Okinawa Fuji Hotel to the Okinawa Port Hotel. The hotel was acquired by Ishin Hotels Group in December 2004.
The 193-room hotel will undergo renovations including the exterior and the guest rooms. Newly styled bed linens will be added for a fresh new look. Additionally, the hotel's logo was redesigned using the Japanese Shiisa, Okinawa's infamous lion-shaped roof ornaments that are believed to ward off bad luck.
Upon completion of the renewal, the hotel's guest services will be continuously improved under leadership of Mr. Hidehiko Tomita, the Managing Director
Ishin Hotels Group is a joint venture established by Soros Real Estate Investors and the Westmont Hospitality Group. The acquisition of the Hilton Otaru brings the number of hotels in the Ishin Hotels Group's portfolio to 14properties. Ishin Hotels Group will continue to acquire and operate hotels nationwide.
