Completes full renovation of Kagoshima Tokyu Hotel

Kagoshima Tokyu Hotel (General Manager: Masatoki Sasaki; Location: Kamoike-shinmachi;
Number of guest rooms: 206) has been under complete renovations since
April 2005 while continuing to operate the hotel. This will end in early
March 2006.
A newly built chapel is one of the biggest features of this renovation.
While there was a big demand from the market, the hotel did not have
one on the premises. The aisle of the chapel where the bride walks is
made of glass and under it, you can see white sand glowing inside the
white-based interior. Other areas of this renovations include complete
refurbishment of the guest rooms, and work also done on the restaurants
and lobby area. A new meeting room was established to distinguish this
hotel from its competitors as a city resort hotel. This sets the hotel
aside from other hotels in the south Kyushu area as a distinctive brand.
Kagoshima Tokyu Hotel opened back in 1981 as a bay-front hotel with
magnificent views of Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. On October 2004, Kagoshima
Tokyu Hotel became a member of Ishin Hotels Group and has been operating
under a franchise agreement with Tokyu Hotels.
