Shikinaen (World Heritage Site)
Constructed in 1799 as a villa of the Ryukyu Kings and also played an important diplomatic role to receive envoys from China. Incorporating Chinese style, the garden is designated as a World Heritage Site.

Katsuren Castle Ruins [World Heritage Site]

Built between the 12th and 13th centuries by a local lord. Well-known for its elegantly curved stone walls, Katsuren Castle stands on a 100m-high plateau in the middle of the Yokatsu Peninsula. From the top you can enjoy a panoramic view of Nakagusuku Bay and the Yokatsu Peninsula.

Luminous cardinal fish
Small fish living in coral reefs at the depth of 3 to 15m. Almost transparent, with its backbone and innards partly visible, the brightly shining shoals are popular among divers.

Shurijo Castle
Shurijo Castle is a symbol of the history and culture of Okinawa. Located on top of a hill, the castle wall encloses a number of buildings and ceremonial and religious grounds.

Ocean Expo Park (Tropical Dream Center)
Ocean Expo Park is a national park built on the site of Okinawa Ocean Expo held in 1975. It is famous for a tropical botanical garden, white sand beach and dolphin show. Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium was opened in 2002, where visitors come to watch mantas and whale sharks through the largest recorded window in the world (listed in the Guinness Book of Records).
